I recently took over as manager of United Dairy Farmers on Powell and Sawmill rd and plan on moving to the area. Me and my fiancee was scouting the neighborhood and decided to try your restaurant out. We were very impressed with the atmosphere , food and good friendly service. We ate there Saturday 3/13/10 and had 2 prime rib specials. We are still talking about the experience and look forward to many visits again and sharing this with our family and friends. We can honestly say that we found our little special place!

If you like basil, the lemon basil martini is a must! The food was all very tasty and the service excellent! We’ll be back for the birthday martini next week.
Ate at Local Roots tonight on a whim for something new. Glad we did. The food was great and the beer on tap list impressive! I see now that you have kids meals, we will be back and give it another go. I had the french dip special – the beef was wonderful – tender and flavorful. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a good roast beef sandwich like that.
I went to here for the first time a few weeks ago and I can’t wait to go back. I am in love with the Scallops! They are fresh and cooked perfectly. Put this restaurant at the top of your list.
Crab cakes..yum…southern fried chicken…yum….squash medley…yum….I could go on…all of the food at Local Roots always tastes fresh and homemade. Excellent food and great service…..good live music too!
Great place to eat! All of the food that I have tried is wonderful and love the staff. The Sunday brunch is to die for. Cold beers and a great staff(what a combo)
We love Local Roots! Whether it’s take out or eating there, we’ve never had a bad meal. The servers are friendly, Jessi really works hard and the menu is wonderful. We love the Mediteranean salad, the turkey bacon avocado sandwich and the sub. The calzones and pizzas are great, too. Thanks, Jessi, for doing such a great job!!!

I highly recommend Local Roots. I had lunch with a friend yesterday when we both had the turkey, avocado, bacon sandwich – delish! I, also, had the pumpkin squash soup – yummy! Two previous lunches were just as enjoyable. Additionally, the customer service is impeccable! Can’t wait to go back!
I love coming to Local Roots on Monday nights. The bartender Scotty is top notch and if you have trouble choosing a beer because of their large beer selection just describe what you like to drink and he will recommend something. I am not usually a wine drinker, but they have a large selection of those as well. The food is great also. I can go on forever, come try it out.
I have not personally been to Local Roots yet but plan on doing so when I return home from Afghanistan. I would like to thank each and every person who donated items or money for items to be purchased to put together the care packages that was sent to my troops and I over here in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. I look forward to thanking you all in person when I return home.
My husband and I had recently tried Local Roots and it was AMAZING!! Our server, Jen was absolutely fabulous she knew the menu front and back. My husband and I split the loaded chips appetizer and the 1/2 off calamari. The loaded chips were simple yet perfect, and the calamari was fresh and golden, not chewy and rubbery. I tried the Steak Au Proivre because of her description and the way she presented it to me..it was top notch. My husband chose the Lobster mac n cheese which was simple yet satisfying. My husband loves to drink beer and she brought us tasters of 4 random beers we’ve never even heard of! she was incredibly knowledgeable about everything. Simply amazing service, great beer, amazing atmosphere, and FABULOUS FOOD!!!!

Simply put, Local Roots is the best restaurant my fiance and I have been to in years. The drink selection was outstanding and we shared the freshest, most delicious pizza we’ve had in a long time! The restaurant was extremely clean and the service was top-notch. Can’t ask for anything more! We will definitely be returning again soon! Thank you!

I was in last night and it was a wonderful experience! Our waitress Jenn was fantastic! The food was amazing, the presentaion of the food was outstanding! I ordered the bone in chicken dressed with a wine sauce, with asparagus and potatoes. I added a side salad and it was just as good as the main course! I give this restaurant a 10!!

It was a very bad idea to read the menu with an empty stomack. Some dishes seem to have my favorite ingredients.
The food is always great and the staff is the best! It’s always lots of fun to go there.
